Talloires is a beautiful village on the shores of Lake Annecy. Lake Annecy is a stunning lake surrounded by mountains and its edges are dotted with attractive villages, one of the best of which is Talloires.  On the shores of Lake Annecy, opposite the Duingt headland, Talloires is admirably located, making it one of the region’s most prized holiday resorts. Even though the abbey church was destroyed in 1793, the remaining religious buildings are very picturesque. There is a pretty beach by a water sports centre. The road up to Forclaz pass affords the best views of the lake.
